We have been very fortunate over the years to have several MUNGO JERRY personalities give up their time to talk exclusively to the fan club about their time with the band. TIM REEVES, MUNGO JERRY's first ever drummer talks exclusively to the fan club just before Christmas'09, the fun on the road, joining the band, 'BOOT POWER', auditioning for PAUL McCARTNEY, moving to Australia and his band THE OLD SPICE BOYS. He's quite a character!





RAY DORSET the driving force of MUNGO JERRY for over 35 years talks exclusively, and at great length, to the fan club about his musical career, from his childhood to the present day - makes fascinating reading!.MUNGO JERRY's washboard king gives us an often humourous trip down memory lane - 'warts and all' - as he recalls his days with MUNGO JERRY, and the various bands he played in along the way.We thought that it would be a good idea to chat with DEREK WADESON! TONY BISSIKER, better known as 'BIZZ', roadie, driver, backing singer with MUNGO JERRY in the early and mid-70's, recalls his time on the road with the band, which was again collated from a tape and used as reference for 'BEYOND THE SUMMERTIME', published in 1990.BARRY MURRAY, MUNGO JERRY's manager and producer of all of those early hits, tells us how it was from his angle, as told to JOHN VAN DER KISTE, for inclusion in his fanzine - KEEP ON ROCKING!Following on from our meeting at MUNGO JERRY's 30 year celebration gigs in Newcastle Under-Lyme in 2000 and a piss-up or two in a Surrey hotel a year or so later, PAUL HANCOX, drummer on 'Alright Alright Alright' and former member with THE MINDBENDERS and CHICKEN SHACK, agreed to be interviewed for the fan club fanzine.





Former roadie turned band member, MICK FRAMPTON talked to the fan club about time with the band, which saw him start out as Ray's roadie and saw him end up a band member playing percussion, guitars, not to mention backing vocals.One of MUNGO JERRY's longest serving band members, after starting out in 1978, is in the band today and still laying down his brilliant lead guitar licks. Another fine fellow who gave up his time for the fanzine.From the highly rated 1974 line-up, thought by many fans to be one of the best ever MUNGO JERRY band's, DICK MIDDLETON and BOB DAISLEY, were interviewed for the fanzine in 2001.





An interview given to DEREK WADESON by drummer SIMON BAKER, who replaced JAMEI ROBERTS in the early 90's and played on the MUNGO JERRY blues album from 1995, 'Old Shoes, New Jeans'.CHRIS WARNES, bass player with the band in the mid to late 70's talked to the fan club late 1999 about his time with the MUNGO JERRY band.Keyboard player with MUNGO JERRY throughout much of the 90's talks to STUART TURNER about his days with the band and also his time with the mighty HERON.





MUNGO JERRY's lead guitarist talks to the fan club in 2004 about his time with the band and his work with his regular group's - PLANE JANE and SOLID GOLD.
Incredibly, he even turned down IRON MAIDEN after passing the audition. We all make mistakes!
